Talented, but DJ to the stars and trendy. He also banged Nicole Ritchie for a spell and I'm sure some other talentless celebs I'm not aware of.
Known amongst famous people for banging Nicole Ritchie? Sure

Talented? That's news to me.

I logged into myspace for the first time in months, and there's a message about paying respect from that dumbshit tom...I also don't wish death on anyone, but mourn someone who wasn't talented and got famous banging rich snobs? I'd have traded him for my cat who was hit by a car last year in a new york minute, RIP Juno. Not to be a dick, but so many more influential people passed in the last year, just none of them were famous for surviving a plane wreck (and banging rich idiots). It's a shame what's important to the media today. If anything, people should be disgusted that TMZ is using AM's death for page hits, and nothing more - TMZ would gladly have posted pics of AM puking in front of a bar if they could get any, it's all about publicity, and ratings, and the worse shit is, the more rags they sell. Pathetic. Better off mourning the death of sensibility in the media - RIP, Edward R. Murrow.

That sounds suspiciously like lame ass interweb hate, there, TD.

I didn't even know the guy *(can't say that I personally don't like him)*, I just don't think he was talented, and I don't think the media's use of his death to gain ratings is worth my attention. Also, never said anyone should care. Nice troll, though.

Sadly, he was an addict. Reference: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,544 ... latestnews

That's a life threatening disease that many battle until the day they die.

Good or bad DJ, hottie slayer, celeb, etc - he had a family and friends and people who loved him - this is sad people.

I agree with you....... Take away all the masks, peel away the layers, deconstruct the faults, the ego, the image, beneath it all is a human being just like any one of us.

weak, totally not what I was writing about. reading comprehension fail.

troll? no, I'm talking truth, you're really desperate for any kind of comeback. any fuckwit and jump on any topic and write "I hate this topic." so fucking what? it's poor taste and will only start an argument. let people enjoy discussing what they want to celebrate. yeah yeah, I'm being a prick, but it's a prick being a prick to a prick, two wrongs don't make a right but three lefts do.

it's a thread with people spreading good vibes about someone and you have to step in and shit on the guy. what the fuck is so special about your life that you can spit on his grave?

here I am arguing with myself, just to throw off the hounds.

If you think that's all it takes to beat addiction "just doing less _____" I urge you to take yourself down to an AA or NA meeting and here about what people have done in the name of getting that _____ I think you may see there is a bit more to it than "just doing less"

One thing you said is true through "death is inevitable" - many doctors consider opiate, crack, or meth addiction a terminal disease.

i just can't help but think(and there was a south park about this) that there must be a different between crack/alcohol/whatever addiction and cancer. one disease you kinda choose to get and the other you dont. ie. you should be able to choose to stop or not.

get out into the world and meet people with said problems, you'll understand.

LOL at people who base their views on South Park. it can be a smart show but sometimes Trey and Matt are just being right wing assholes.

not saying im following their 'guidance', just that they kinda publicized it first.

look, i can choose to have more beer or crack, not more cancer. there must be a difference. about ten years ago, at a party, someone handed me a heroin needle...i handed it back. one is a choice, the other is a disease. if you start crack and cant stop, you are retarded.

Again...

If it were just about choice, would people be doing the things they do to get their high? Despite the consequences? NO.

Even if you don't get what addiction truly is, think about this:

DJ AM was a human. We, on this forum, may know him a dj to celebs, the dude who hooked up w/ Nicole Ritchie, etc - but to other people he was a son, an uncle, a cousin, a friend, a best friend, etc.

I understand you may not like what he represented when he was alive, but lets not forget underneath it all, he was a human, with strengths and weaknesses who was someone to someone, that loved some people and some people truly loved him.
