How did I use LIVE?
Well. i perform solo with a nylon acoustic guitar, a vocal 'madonna' mic and a few other bits and piecces like indonesian flute.
my own drum, bass and other samples.
Prob of interest to you guys is a glove controller i designed for live usage which lets me trigger loops, rec on/off and turn effects on/off by making gestures with my hand.
It means i can play LIVE without taking my hands off the guitar.
I have also wired a numeric keypad to my guitar for a few more 'close' options.
It's great being 'perfom'.
I was sweating so much when i first started!
Setup:
LIVE on OS X 10.5 on a TiBook 667
Tascam US428
Custom glove and keypad controller
Acoustic classical guitar
AKG microphone
