*major BUMP*
I love my Launchpad.
But the lack of interpolation between fader steps sucks bigtime. The effect hoffman2k is talking about below is cool, and I wouldn't want to lose it. However, an interpolation option is MUST HAVE. The fader control is nearly pointless without it; especially in softer pieces/moments.
Is that kind of functionality even possible?

I don't expect to be able to do super smooth mixes with the mixer but one thing that's killing me is something I did expect to be able to do: Hold a button down for one value and hit another then have it jump back to the one I'm holding down— trilling, basically. Would be very useful for doing crabby crossfader style volume gating during performance, and eliminates the need to have some switch for making track mute switches momentary or not.

Volume / pan / send level ramping-to-values would be a nice feature. However, I am enjoying the effects you can get with parameter jumps. Maybe the novelty will wear off, but I've had no desire for knobs/faders when using the LP so far.
Also, I am using a load of dummy clips for when I want to smoothly automate parameters. And being able to quickly launch multiple dummy clips is proving interesting.
The LP is making me look at Live in a different way, and really making it feel like an 'instrument' rather than a DAW.
YMMV, of course.

Also, while you can control grouped clips in session view from the session mode, grouped mixer tracks don't show up the same way in mixer mode. That's pretty inconsistent. Maybe it's a but that will be fixed soon?
