mdifonzo, thanks much for the step by step. The first half of your instructions worked great. I was able to load samples and get them all playing. The second half? Integrating with Live? Fail. lol. Here's the problems:
a. Under the mlr tab I change from Core Audio to ad_rewire. Buffer size is matched.
b. The first problem is that the DAC button can't be selected. Rewire seems to prevent that.
c. Under midi/osc tab, I changed the clocksource to rewire. Is this correct? Still didn't fix the problem. I've got no sync with Live.
d. Live play button is on, BTW. heh.
e. In Live I'm using IAC Driver (bus 1).
f. In the audio track I've set up in Live, MAX/MSP RUNTIME is greyed out. That's there from an earlier session with the standard mlr. Why is it now greyed out? In send midi sync under mlrV, I've selected from MaxMSPRuntime.
Yikes. Any idea of what's going on?

meh. What a confusing mess this rewire/integration with Live is... Holy shit.
There's stuff that I had working yesterday with no problem. Today? Nightmare. If you just look at rewire crosseyed it'll get pissed at you and stop working.
Here's an example. The mlr you included with your nonome. Had it functioning yesterday in rewire mode. Beautiful. Today? No go. The first problem is that when I go to options and select dsp/ad_rewire, it won't let me turn the audio button to on right above it. Just won't work. I've shut down Live, restarted, blah blah blah. Followed the instructions in this vid:

At this point it's safe to say that M4L is the only hope, lol.

Big performance update:

@LoopStationZebra - What a bummer that it's freaking out like that. I have been reading reports that rewire on certain versions of Max are messed up so you may want to try an earlier one. Also, don't select ad_rewire. Once you push the rewire button it will automatically switch that for you if it's properly installed. I'll put together a screencast that might help. Also, check out the mlrV thread in the monome forums and see if there is any helpful info there.

Right now I've got a beta of Max5 that works with the new M4L.
I do have a previous Max5 (8.0.7), but on my Macbook it seems that you can only have one version of Max at a time. Everytime I want to load a different version it loads via an 'upgrade', then whatever version of Max was will no longer work, lol.
Can you only have one version of Max loaded?
EDIT: nevermind. Andrew gave me the tip about just renaming a Max folder before loading a different version.

Thank you...
Yesterday I tried nonome and everything worked fine with mlr until I tried to route MIDI to Live with polygomé...
As described in your manual I tried to set "MIDI output" - "destination" " - "from MaxMSP1"... But "from MaxMSP1" doesn't appear either in polygomé nor in Live (Max5Runtime v40057)!?! I was only able to play microsoft wavetable synthesizer what isn't really satisfying.

I had to plug a midi cable into my Firebox's midi ins and outs to get the signal into Live from polygome. Im assuming that using a virtual midi cable will work fine too.

No, thank you!
One question Mdifonzo. Whats your opinion on the issue of the track on lights in MlrV disappearing when you switch to session mode, and then back to User 2 for mlrV?
The loop slices tick across as usual, but the track on lights wont appear until you repress them. Is this a limitation of the launchpad, or just something that might be sorted out in nomome down the track?
