every method I know of is such a pain in the you know what.
There used to be a widget or script that had a "Download" option appear in the Info box. That was quite handy I thought.

i like how in the last video some guy says something like
"most americans looked at england as a place for misfits like themselves"
thats exactly how i look at most of europe.. especially france.. i have never been to europe but i always imagine places like france as a heaven for art and music geeks like myself.
not so much england though.. i imagine england being very similar to the states in the way they dress and there pop culture.

Be careful not to generalize.
When people think of France, they usually think of Paris, which has always been regarded as a hub for culture (go out to some of the suburbs where people are rioting in their HLM high rise apartments and suffering poverty and marginalization for a 'different' side of Paris). But they don't think of heavy industry like in the North-East, such as Lens, Lille, Valenciennes, or the fishing industries in Brittany or the numerous agricultural farming towns, who look on at Parisiens with disdain as effeminate, preening, prancing jokes.
The synth documentary showed you how gritty and grim and working class England can be in places, it's not always High Tea with the Queen, men in bowler hats and briefcases and Buckingham Palace, Nelson's Column and old art galleries and museums. London is pretty squalid in many places too, look at the clip with Throbbing Gristle in Hackney - a place where I lived for 2 years while an impoverished student in London, broken down urban decay, kids playing in burned out cars and the 'plague pits' are all decidedly 'Un-British'

agree, it was a brilliant documentary with contributions from all the big players... but WHY has it taken me so long to notice Gary Numan wears a truly terrible wig?!?

You do see a lot of Americans on forums who seem obsessed with all things British. Never understood it, this island is horrible.

Well, the good stuff is heavily overshadowed by everything that is shit about Britain.

...particularly the ones that moan on about how crap everything is instead of doing something about it.
