Get's rave reviews on the ruggedness, I just need to know if it fits a 17" MBP, APC, FF400 and the other bits'n'pieces of a mobile setup and then it's just the struggle with customs to get it shipped directly from the US.

I got the Headliner limited edition Ableton backpack for getting around the city. It's all black and very non-eyecatching. I like that.

I'm about to pick up a Pelican 1510 for air travel. It's a heavy duty plastic case that fits onto planes as a carry-on item. The magic of the 1510 is that if you get asked to check the bag (which is unavoidable sometimes) it will survive being stored in the cargo of the plane, and protect your kit. It's got good handles and good wheels.

+100 on the Big Namba. This bag rocks. I carry 2 macbook pros, maschine, and the apc40 as well as all my cables and a mic.

i bought a namba few months ago and i'm very very happy with it.

it can fit without any problem:
16" notebook
apc40
edirol pcr m1
ff400
lots of cables
headphones
and i still have some extra space

wicked!

and very comfy on the back!
