Sorry, that's where it was in the beta.
On my Mac in the shipping build it's in Lessons\Sets\CS Step Sequencer.amxd

getting started with max for live
I found it on lesson #9 of 13 if that helps anyone,
how do i setup the apc 40 to it?

I loaded the m4l lesson, went to the loaded cs step sequencer device and clicked on the top right "save preset" button. Live then placed a file for it in my live browser under max audio effect/ tools. Voila, easy access!
