59 euros/ about 73 usd.

Get it. Seriously.

(Oh and then if you buy the Berlin Modular u-he releases next year, you get the full price back you paid for ACE.)
Thanks mate!

Don't forget to mention the promo code ("Spaghetti") that brings it down 10€ from 69€ to 59€. From the 333 codes there are still more than a hundred left 8)
D'oh! I forgot to include the coupon code. Fixed my original post.

And for anyone concerned about cpu, it's really only bad at "accurate" quality setting. "Draft" mode is very low and still sounds good except for high resonances and other high gain in high frequency situations. "Standard" mode is the one I use most. Reasonable with cpu and the quality is fine except some of the most extreme fm situations.

There're a very few plugin instruments that truly capture the soul of a real analog synth and this definitely joins that exclusive club alongside WayOutWares TimeArp 2600, Korg Legacy Analog, XILS 3 & Gforce's MiniMonsta, Imposcar and Oddity (these are ones that do it for me anyway). And when you stick SPL's TwinTube after it, analog heaven (and near processor meltdown unless your running a beast of a machine)!

As has been mentioned already though this has 4 different quality settings (draft, standard, good & accurate) so you're in control of the impact on processor overhead.

And with the current discount - that's what I call a no brainer deal!

Get yourself to http://www.acesynth.com/ and check out the demo.

Then again it depends on how many patches they include and how many tutorials they have. It sounded pretty sweet, but it seemed to eat up quite a bit of CPU. So many things to think about.
It is interesting in that it is simple and most everything is on the one page and there are not a lot of modules and controls so it is fast to understand, but then since you can (ACE = Any Cable Anywhere) connect most anything to anything with the virtual patch cords it has great variety of sonic possibilities.

The CPU is high but that is also what gives the sort of snappy sharp response on fast modulations that most softsynths are weak at. It feels lively and somewhat wild and makes some vigorous sounds that have heft, especially on basses.

The envelopes are still very snappy at stadard quality setting and cpu usage is no worse than most other soft synths.

On another note, I just found out that the modulation routings are exposed to the host, meaning they are automatable, and mappable to Kore and novation automap. Awesome. I can actually control this synth entirely from hardware! :D

Thank you, Buddha: With your help I had luck with the "Spaghetti"-Code. :)

Loving the sound. What else matters?

Just as NI has a deal for massive for 99 Euros.

Would like one new synth for punchy analogue basses, dirty leads, etc with a decent amount of mod options.

Now I is confused.

The demo sounds are awesome!

Gonna have to sell (maybe my Fabfiter Twin, Volcano, Timeless bundle?) before I inevitably purchase though!

Great (as always) work Urs... YOU da MAN

NI deal goes for 4 days, ACE stays 69€ for a few years. ACE is patient.

-1 for lack of capitalistic greed, but +1000 for being such a nice guy, which means I'll definitely be buying more U-he products in the future (am still delighted with uhbik)... :) 8)

Figure it out. Thanks. I was a skeptic but after about a week's worth of use this synth sounds amazing and is easier to use than I thought it would be. I just bought a license. $85 Canadian is not too bad. Thanks~
