whats the best external sound card for live performance

just a warning, i have heard time and time again that MOTU has the worst windows drivers

MOTU interfaces that were thought to be broken and horrible have worked beautifully with OSX

so if you have a PC think twice about a MOTU

yup, i head experiences with the same Motu card (V4HD) under OSX and Windows XP sp2 on for only audio use laptops (the Windows machine being tweaked to perfection for audio from a colleague at work, i know shit about windows tweaking...)

it's a dream card under OSX and a total nightmare under Windows XP.
