My buddy had a seizure during a show, fell straight back into the mud and didn't have a clue what had happened, we had to tell him his name and where he was and everything.
It was an overhead projector screen, like you'd see in school, with some water and oil in small try and a fan blowing on them.. This projected on a cave wall was enough to make him seizure, scary stuff.

thanks for the help, comrades.
it looks like LED is the way to go, so i'm gonna go for the chauvet techno strobe st-3000, largely because of its low power usage and portability.
before getting the strobe, though - there's another question i have about controlling it. i've posted it as a separate topic
here.
