Its a great decision to get Maschine but i would still keep the APC40. The combo of both is just ace like hell. Maybe you can sell your body or something ? :D

+1 on that, i would definitely not sell the apc40, its nice to still have something that works directly with live.

Yup. Many ways to do it. For me, it's easiest to just drag a pattern into Live and it automatically becomes an audio clip.

Is a bean dip a good thing VS an unbean dip?

Well, thanks, I had a little time yesterday night, watching NI's vids, and yes, seems terrible,

the drag and drop patterns to audio is terrific!

and 8 outs as a vst available to the host is quite good.

I'm soon buying a maschine, I should have done that before buying other useless stuff...

cheers

you sir are a gentleman/lady and a scholar, if I was stranded on an island and I could only have two things those two things would not be maschine and a laptop they would be an mpc-2500 and some solar panels. but on the computer there is nothing better than maschine/ableton combo period, don't believe me just ask nuff said fred!

I'd take a hot lady and a working iphone (which, with AT&T means it probably won't work too well).

I just ordered the Maschine. I have an MPC1000 + JJOS and an MPC500. Don't plan on selling either of them (yet). Really really excited to get the Maschine, and reading this thread is making me so much more impatient!!!

It was initially announced for 1.5 update but NI decided to push back the granular fx until they can do it right.

You won't regret it. I did the same thing and promptly sold my MPC1000 + JJOS2 and MPC500.

Connected to the delay in Timestrech I suppose. Still gonna be a rad update though. Wondering what to expect from the "vintage" modes? Aaaaahhh can't wait! Checking it daily!!!

I'm seriously contemplating it as my 'getting back into music' toy later in the year.
