No - I have seen traktor around - does tend to look like a real CD mixer setup which comes back to what I was saying earlier. I think it's a wasted to opportunity to merely replicate a "real" setup. I know you can do a few extra things with Traktor but I still think it's a mistake to make the GUI like the real thing. The GUI is one of the things I like about LIVE - it's simple and intuative. I can't stand gimmicky looking programs that have to have flashing knobs and buttons to control things. Switchers and faders work fine on a real mixer but it doesn't mean they're the best thing for software that's why I also tend to find those setups a little patronising. I'm more interested in the arranging side of things ie. rather than doing things on the fly - it's good try out all different combinations of tracks.
I'm probably been a bit harsh on traktor - maybe I'm scared if I try the demo and like it - I'll have to fork out another £200 - anyway I think Live is perfectly adequate for what I need.

yes. you are absolutely right. all kind of software trying to imitate rather than innovate must be on the wrong path.
but if you look at solutions like mixmeister.com , trying to put the dj-concept to new guis... you will prefer traktor. it is about trackmixing. live is about loop and cut arranging. but i said this before.
