audiomidi's iSyn is good for coming up with synth sounds and playing them in real time with the touchscreen, but the sequencer could use some improvements.

mrmr is a very good alternative to TouchOSC, but you have to do a lot more work to get it up and running.

RjDj looks really promising but I haven't dug deep enough into it.

Does anybody have any info on Star6 by Agile Partners?
It seems like a cool little app but it's hard to find objective reviews about these kind of apps.
It's just a bit too expensive to just download it for testing!

I use Bebot for the iPhone as a way of distracting my 2-year old if he starts to get a little bored... that thing keeps him occupied for at least a half-hour.. so yeah, pretty darn useful if you ask me!

Has anyone come across a good sample playing app? I want to plug it into a DJ mixer and trigger one shot samples over the top. I'm not sure if a drum machine type app would do as the samples would be bits of dialogue etc and might be too long. Any ideas?

cheers sb

I loved the sound of Noise.io, hated the interface though. When it comes to small interfaces I much prefer things like BLeep!box with it's simple interface, versus Noise.io's pretty but hard to navigate style.
