Zebrify could possibly be the only fx unit you'd need. And it's free with Zebra!
Run some audio through the comb filter for resonating goodness.

This release is dope, 2x XMF filters, mod map alternate key modulations, etc...

Urs has another release coming out at some point with a special distortion module.

Z2 is my fave 3rd party device ever, it has a very special quality to its sound, it's full featured, low cpu, and easy to program.

Not so much anymore with the new XMF filters actually (when playing polyphonically, especially pads). It can really climb high now. However there is an eco mode for the XMF at least.

ok - been playing with the demo.... I've spent years thinking: "I don't need another big complex synth"... but now I realize how wrong I was. This is a truly amazing synth... pretty much without equal, I'd say! Gonna grab it with my christmas money...

Yep, it's a pretty major upgrade and free for existing 2.x users. I'll send out a newsletter during the weekend because I also want to have a stable Uhbik 1.1 ready. And then the newsletter can contains ACE 1.0, Zebra 2.5 and Uhbik 1.1 all in one go

Got my 2.5, loving the new changes, except there now seems to be a bug in it with Zebra EQ and live 8.1... it is really odd, I click on the EQ shelf to change it, but it seems to jump oddly, and change a different shelf, almost like one of those trick programs that avoids your mouse. Is this happening to anyone else?

Yeah, sorry, funny thing is, I havn't changed a thing... will get in touch with Ableton in January to get this sorted quickly.

Question: Is it an AU thing, or does it also affect VST?

Ableton has gone something funky going on with VST parameters since Live 8, at least on macs. I'm sure it has something to do with unconfigured plug-ins. As a temporary workaround, if you configure the eq parameters in the Zebra device, they stop from jumping.

There are many plug-ins which have problems jumping, or preset switching being sluggish, until you configure the parameters, and then things are normal. For example minimonsta VST takes minutes to switch a preset in Live 8. If you hit configure and switch a preset, it configures the first 128 parameters, presets change at normal speed. And parameters stop jumping.

Ableton definitely need to be bugged about this.

It is a VST on my end... using Windows XP
