[6303] 8.1.1 crashing all the time

I have the same problem with 8.1.1 release: Live freezes and I have to kill it via taskmanager !!

The original set i was having problems with was created on OSX snow leapord (But was working ok) It was when i transferred to PC and combined with another set i had problems with the moving tracks.

I've since however had a whole heap of problems with no Mac related sets.. but maybe this is still a bug.

I'm also having issues. For me it seems to be with VST's ...i've tried to deduct which ones might be causing live to crash but every time its different, from that i've deduced that its not the vst's themselves but the activation of vst's in 8.1.1

Errors
-everytime i try and activate the system vst folder live crashes
-when i quit live it crashes
-when i start live (without having deleted the prefs file) crashes

running os x 10.5.7 , macbook pro intel core duo 2.16 ghz , 2 gig ram, motu ultralite, live 8.1.1


please fix this i'd like to have a stable set up for my live shows...

I've been struggling with this for a while now.
MBP 2.8
SL
LV8.1.1

Crash on save/quit etc.crash crash etc etc etc.
Live was one of the most robust apps I had been using till the past few versions ???

Have not seen much help here, but kept seeing things about vst (which I had thought were better in Live).
So, I just switched from VST to using AU's
AND SO FAR no crashes.

I'm having similar issues to YILA but on my MBP running Leopard! My input here isn't helpful just wanted to share in the pain.

Mine started to crash all the time after i move some sound samples around.

weird, mine isn't moving a sample on a track, it's moving the actual track.

Yesterday i moved 3 tracks out of a group, tried to drop them at the bottom and they ended up in another group, moved one track out.. "A serious program error has occurred"

This Set has NO VST's, i did disable the VST folder and it was ok after, but it crashes in so many different ways it's impossible to track down.. I've had the same problem with and without VST's so it doesn't seem to be this. I've only a few VST's anyway, OHmicide, Soundhack plugs and KTdrumtrigger.

Ableton have all my crash logs now and have been in contact so fingers crossed. I'm getting a new machine next week so we'll see if it's dependant on this machine or a general 8.1.1 problem. i wish they'd stop buggering around with serato nonsense and get back to a workable DAW! Live has been so so stable up to now for me, just these last few versions! Serato and Max can bugger off!
