this happened to me before with a doepfer pocket dial, which was discontinued for sometime already but I found one in a popular german on-line retail outlet .... and they had agreed to sell it to me, but the same day they sold it to some fucker who called into their store instead.
Refund my arse.

Yes it's f***ing annoying.
I searched on eBay too, saw one unit at 400$, but I'm afraid the shipping + taxes will make it much more about 550$ => 400 euros, twice the price I paid DV247...
I also found one 2nd hand in france, for 350 euros.
Need more to think about it, 230 euros was an OK price for me (for everyone I guess), and I'm not yet ready to give more $$$, even if it's still cheap for the quality of the gear...
feedback when I'm decided
cheers

Whaaaat... That sucks man!
Well, I guess it was to good to be true. You probably will never even find them used for that price.

"too good to be true" or "too good to be FOR ME"...
well, mourning done, that's not a drama!
thanks for your support

It does not have lcds, which is the whole point. How do you remember what parameter is assigned to knob nr 11 on a BCR? C4 is the only proper midi control imo.

lcds are nice... but not necessary...
same as when buying a synth ..
after a short period
you don't really need to stop and look at the labels on the knobs anymore..
it's all about practice..

bcr is cool, but
fact is that it won't allow me to program my hardware synths (sysex messages) like the C4 would (with the soft "commander")...
and yes, the LCDs were the must-have for me in that case (several pages of parameters for 2 different hardware synths...)
my nocturn is laughing at me now, shit.

Yeah, Nocturns will do that. Wipe the smile of it's face with a hammer.

funny to see I'm REALLY NOT the only one to hate the nocturn and automap
but I don't hate it enought to destroy it, I'll just try to sell it
sadly, even if "automapturn" was reliable, it would not be able to do the same as the C4+commander for hardware synths programming...
cheers

BCR does sysex... and a whole lot more ..with this :
http://home.kpn.nl/~f2hmjvandenberg281/bcman.html
(be sure to check out the manual..
people have tailored themselves great setups with this thing...
BCR is very flexible.. )
anyways.. hope you get relief soon..
