Drugs are funsies. Dont get caught up in them though.
they are here just the way movies are here. for recreation.
I dont think i could write a proper track wired to the veins on mdma, id rather suck the wall or shout abuse at frogs.
playing with sythesizers with your decapitated friend is proper good times tho.

If making music is what gets you off, so be it. If thats working for you why interfere with that?
I remember being in Jail watching a "Behind the Music on Aerosmith." Not my favorite band or anything, but hey I was in jail. Anyways the guitarist says "I used to be a musician dabbling in drugs, then I became a drug addict dabbling in music."
I dont miss drugs, and I don't miss thinking they made me creative, nor do I miss feeling like I was being creative when I really didn't produce shit.
Makes me think of a nother movie a friend of mine is in. "Waking Life," 4 guys are walking down the street going on and on about how "Where there's fire we'll bring gasoline..." Basically they are just like many of my old days, walking around talking grandiose ideas. They walk up on this old man on a telephone pole. They ask him what he's doing up there. He replies, "I dont know." One of the guys says, "I gues he's no better than us, we're all talk and no action, he's all action and no talk."
Any ways, my best friend since kindergarden, and I am 35, is the most innovative creative MF still to this day. He dosen't do drugs, drinks root beer and eats cookies.
Does that mean cookies and rootbeer give him an edge? Hell no, he chooses to be ahead of the pack while others just obsever and discuss.
Go fourth young padwan, and make music!

And lastly,
In a world where many are driven by intoxication, it becomes so simple to be original. Don't be.

else...Fer Sure dude.
I've done my share, barely made it out yo. It's been years since my last run!!!
I read and article with George Harrison, they asked him what the most life changing experience he had was. He said "LSD, but i think you should only take it once"
To me that was something I could never comprehend until I quit. I got confused on drugs thinking they were my inspiration. It's easy to get confused on drugs. Didn't you ever make a tune on drugs for drugs, you were SO passionate about, mixed and mixed, thought it was so laced up. A week later you never want to hear it again?

I hear Bill Hicks from the grave telling me "And another thing...!"
You only hear pot advocates going on about seed bearing plants good to use, from the earth crap.
You dont hear speedball junkies squirming out of the bathroom saying "Hey man, cocain and opium are seed bearing plants, Jesus says it B gOOOOd"
They don't because they know thats BS. Drugs are for getting high, not health kicks. Gasoline is earth derivitave, and "most" people on drugs don't go on about it. Huffing gas is shamefull in the land of pot mummies.
Funny how people on drugs go on about how good they are. They are so biased, close minded to drugs and it's possibilities, never considering a true open mindedness, one without drugs after the fact.

Prescisely my point. Although most things are not worth remembering, or my memory is just screwed.
Drugs are a way of limiting yourself to in the box thinking. You have to "quit" to realize it, to realize thier power and influence.
Besides, I had better ideas as a 9 year old before drugs than I did on years of good dope. Dosen't say much for drugs in my book. SHEESH I am still chasing those dreams! Drugs just interupted that.

^ I think that depends on the drug and how much you allow your life to revolve around it.
