A good way to collaborate on a set (as long as one of you do not have a newer version of Live than the other) is to use Dropbox, it is a free online file sync application which is cross platform, Windows, OS X, Linux & even iPhone. It's totally integrated with your operating system and just shows up as a folder (the contents of which, are uploaded online and synced with any other computer you may have Dropbox installed on). You can set up a shared folder with anyone you wish to collaborate with and put the Live Project in that folder (just remember to collect all and save). It takes all the hassle out of sending files back and forth and it is uber simple to use

You get a totally free 2GB of space and if you sign up via this link you (and I) will get an additional 250mb added to our free space (up to a max of 3GB) everyone wins...

https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTM2NjIwNjI5

To say it's useful is an understatement. Oh and I forgot to mention that as soon as you sign up you just follow 5 simple tutorial steps that are on the site and that nets you an additional 250mb too...so using my link and doing the 5 steps which takes about 5 min gives you an instant 2.5GB of space :)
It is a brilliant service and works seamlessly
As stated in my original post I thought you got 2Gb free and could earn an extra 1Gb making 3Gb max.... I've just found out that you can earn an *ADDITIONAL* 3GB, so up to 5GB max for free :)

Whoop!!

A bit complex to set up, but the best solution.
This is nice. We setup or own version of this using Yahoo messnger + webcam= mic and live streaming plus also instant file sharing of live's files for two computers over the web. Each computer has exactly the same plugins as the other one and the instant i make a change within live it is uploaded to our server and relayed down to my partners machine and vice versa.
But this looks much better.
And i see steinberg are involved. At one point within cubase they had the rocket network a very early version of the same thing but it never quite took off back then plus web speeds were also lot slower back then late 90's.

thanks :)

There is a problem hear. I spent some time with it last night. I Load up the DMC software then load live no problems. Live becomes slave. All audio goes through DMC. Now lives 3rd party plugins well you cant access them. 2ndly when running DMC if it is acting as rewire master you cant live stream both ways esentially rendering the whole ogjective of live streaming and jamming over the net. Disapointing but heading in the write way.
By the way DMC is a complete DAW and i,m not changing from live for that. Oh and Charlie steinberg seems heavily involved which i,m not sure is a good or abad thing

best
:) :)

If it works then this looks ideal. Simple and unclutered.

For realtime live collaboration we use Skype with its 'Screen Sharing" option, Dropbox, and Wiretap Anywhere to stream the audio in real time. A fast connection is crucial for semi-decent audio quality... almost like sitting in the studio together with added benefit of not having to get out of bed... or shower ;-) Nice!
