I doubt owning an iPhone with its own contract will have anything to do with this tablet thing (if it exists). It's a separate device. It'll probably be like a big iPod Touch with better graphics and the ability to get 3G internet (if you pay for monthly service... $30 or somewhere there about). Cheaper if you buy with a contract, more expensive without. That's why I think it's kind of lame. It's just another thing that can't run Live that's going to cost a lot of money and waste a lot of time. I'm sure the iPhone games are going to be a lot better on the tablet (if it does exist -that one was for you, dave).beats me wrote:Now I'm really curious and confused. If you already have an iphone does that somehow factor into it or is this a whole other device with a completely different charge? Can you simply just use it without paying some kind of monthly subscription and maybe just not get full use out of it, use of things you may not even want?rikhyray wrote:In Germany 800€ and 499€ with T mobile contract (Media Markt major electronic discounter had the page premature released yesterday , removed it after couple of hours)beats me wrote:I'm curious what the price will be.
Of course nobody knows the answer to this just yet. But I think if you are forced to pay a monthly subscription plus the up front cost then that is also going to turn a lot of people off.
The way I look at it is like, if this tablet thing had come out before the iPhone, we would have thought it was cool. But, if the iPhone came second, we would have throught the iPhone was better. The iPhone is a pocket sized Apple tablet. It's the better of the two gadgets to have, and we already have it. That's why I want my new MacBook Pro with i7 processors. Hoo la la la.
