Funny thing is that some of them admit sometimes a little crashing when being interviewed a bit more direct...

Sometimes a little crash is not good enough for stageware !

At least now so many people are having issues that nobody that reports the problems is called a ranter anymore.

and ableton stopped to call the bugs "your bug"

that was the most embarresiing thing back in july when i started to report my problems

you can test if you want to
you can leave your friends behind
but you friends don't test
and if your friends don't test
then that's no friend of mine.

i mainly get crashes when closing live which is great. i get to use live without any issues and still get to piss and moan about crashes on the forum.

If Live keeps crashing, why don't you just turn on safe mode? You're probably running Live in crash enabled mode, which is a no-no if you don't desire the crashes.

To be fair, you didn't make an actual report till this fall. You were just arguing with people that tried to help.

lies lies lies... and all this lies dont make ableton more trustworthy..

just a little slice from all the mails i ve send to beta or support @ ableton

Image

i made many reports.. and in that reports its allready described that it has something to do with using midi..

my support case was dropped because i wasnt willing to describe my outboard gear and way of working in detail... what is totally irelevant on a random crashbug..

i just was not into stupid questions after having had issues in front of 2000 or maybe more people..

but i reported the bug.. and it wasnt my bug.. i was just early in realizing the Ableton bug..

actually 2 of them in one live show.. the mean midi crash bug.. adn the 32bit file monster loud peaks bug..

both reported in july 2009.. both acknowledgend and fixed half a year later !!!

sorry.. a company that is so after hunting theire letal bugs down themself just deserves what it will get..

Its really funny how a companie with such a shit performance shows such a degree of arrogance..

but probably the arrogance was there first.. and than all the "user" bugs turned out to be a big structiral problem...

Yes, fixed in the same week you started cooperating. Funny coincidence?

i think Tyler Durden put it best....

"Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else!"

i think most mis-understand the size of the ableton team and the basics of running a team / prioritizing workload. if your bugs havent been fixed then the chances are there are bigger, more important and more critical bugs to fix first. this means that other bugs fail down the priorty list. its not first come, first served or in this case he who shouts loudest gets the resources. the use of this system should not be interpreted that ableton have a personal vendetta against you if its not resolved immediately.

its not just about you!

SPACE MONKEY!!

on the flip side, the great part about Ableton getting bug reports from "Pros" is that they act in a professional manner. I'm not seeing that.

Ableton isn't a big company. AFAIK some hate the forum, others (unfortunate souls) HAVE TO read the forum, Ableton has made it clear they let this place be (mostly) unmoderated because they want people to tell them the bad things bout Live. if I worked at Ableton I'd totally put 3Phase's requests at the bottom. or to put it another way if a user was providing good info and being super helpful, I'd help them. god knows they have more than enough users in distress to find other people to help.

as a user, 3phase I'm glad you're reporting all these bugs, it'll make my copy of Live more stable. I think the 'Quality' sticky is a pretty humiliating thing to put your own forum. spitting in someone's face after they apologize is in poor taste, IMO.

mostly if a product sucks I just don't use it.

good luck, keep cool.

btw Live crashed today when I deleted a reverb. hooray for saving. I went ahead and asked Live to recover from the crash, another C++ error and crash. reboot, reload, 'sall good.
