sounds like and APC might get you closer to the mark? I know it's not quite as 'channel strip' style control as the VMC, but there are some neat and easy hacks to make it act like that quite easily.BoxDJ wrote:Right now, I'm thinking of using the Launchpad strictly for launching clips and the VCM 600 for pretty much everything else. Is it possible that I could focus in on a channel and focus on a effect and use the knobs to change the values instead of having each knob assigned to just on effect?
Launchpad + VCM 600

i want korg to rip apart the zero 8 and make it a midi-only controller in a smaller casing. keep all 8 tracks, crossfader, master faders, kaoss control. it would be the ultimate mixing controller.

12 actually, but it uses a track bank buttonbeats me wrote:Doesn't the VCM 600 only have 6 tracks? A brilliant idea in a world full of 8s. Not enough buns for your hotdogs.
I'm working on a mega-template thing which uses the first 6 for 3 x DJ decks + 3 tracks for audio loops/samples, then the next 6 are MIDI tracks with kick, hats, snare, clap and 2 x Operator for Bass/synth
I'm making a video series on how it's set up among other things, but I will make the overview video on what it does the free one and post it up....
