Sometimes offline I praise the content and musings of the posters on this forum almost to the point of it being embarrassing. Then there's this thread which just is embarrassing. It really makes things tough defending you people to outsiders.

I'm not claiming to be better than anybody else here, but every so often you come across a thread that if one of your outsider friends decided to check out the supposed hilarity and wit you've been telling them about on here and they clicked on this thread as an introduction you'd get "Looks like a bunch of 15-year-old fags writing 'let's play house' fan fiction".

There's a list of people whose day was made by watching the video in it. Believe me, if Chris Rock and Jack Black came over while I was watching it... I would have minimized the window. Its good clean "fun" and all, but I would hardly call it the epitome of hilarity and I certainly would refrain from making any of my friends suffer through it.

Yeah I know and participated in and even started my fair share of useless or inside joke threads, but this one just struck me as extra funny as a first impression thread.

They're not going to get a good impression if the Lounge is filthy are they?

tbh, I think it's on a par with the 'Fuck all of you' thread, which, while you and smutek gave each other a nice reacharound, I thought was pretty ordinary.

What are you talking about? The word fuck is hilarious when used in the right context. Ableton telling it's users to fuck off after letting them freely whine on their board for years is just such a context.
