Yea, beat me to it. Def. sleep paralysis. Scary feeling. I've had it several times. You are conscious, but your body is still sleeping. Good times.
+1 When you find yourself in the 'mind awake body still asleep' situation, this is when you can take control of your dreams. I have had OOBE during this state that are really fun, the sensation of flying up through the roof and all around.ChiDJ wrote:I think a lot of us that can dream lucidly are more aware of this. I get it during my afternoon naps. I love the sensation and I usually feel very rested and refreshed afterwards. Good Stuff!
That sounds fucking ace!funky shit wrote:i have all sorts of shit happen, go downstairs, college etc only to realise that im still actually sleeping which makes me wake up right in front of a morphing image of my face which dissapears but i keep hearing a womans voice saying "dont lose it". Well i then lose it and actually wake up with a sudden slap to the back of the neck. but nobodys behind me.

Wow, sorry to hear that. Was your mum around to comfort you when you woke up in a cold sweat?funky shit wrote:that happened yesterday.Emissary wrote:That sounds fucking ace!funky shit wrote:i have all sorts of shit happen, go downstairs, college etc only to realise that im still actually sleeping which makes me wake up right in front of a morphing image of my face which dissapears but i keep hearing a womans voice saying "dont lose it". back on topic: anybody have those lucid dreams were you still can control what you do, well you try to anyway, but its as if your really drunk or high, and find it reallllly hard to walk straight etc?
maby coke is the problem?aqua_tek wrote:I used to get sleep paralysis / night terrors a LOT, years ago. Also lots of migraines.
It all improved when I stopped consuming caffeine.
I still get migraines, but less frequently. Night terrors I only get like once a year.
They scare the shit out of me.
Quite possible. I was never much of a coffee drinker so most of my caffeine intake came from drinking coke... and I drank A LOT. I used to down entire 2L bottles on an almost daily basis.funky shit wrote:maby coke is the problem?aqua_tek wrote:I used to get sleep paralysis / night terrors a LOT, years ago.
