I feel ya...
for some reason somewhere I'm getting midi feedback (I think) it wasn't there before and the only connection to the synth is a midi in cable. I'll fix it soon I might learn something, I might not. computers - hate 'em. someday something better will come along, it has to, fcuk this siht!!!
cool to see Ableton's International Halp! Force at work.
I've had that problem with MIDI gear that isn't quite up to par, like my E-MU MP-7, but only when had it hooked up with both MIID in and out cables. No matter how deep I got into that box, there was no place to completely filter the incoming from passing through to the MIDI out (there's MIDI A & B out but no Thru on the box). If I didn't love the cranky noises that box makes I'd have long since defenestrated it. But MIDI feedback with only an in cable? Here's my only thought - Does Live have a feature to send MIDI metronome clicks? If it does (and if it's on), try turning it off or sending it to a different MIDI channel. Logic has this and it drove me nuts until I found the culprit - took forever to figure it out 'cause it only happened while in record & on this particular synth it sounded more like a loop than a MIDI click
