From my Computer, right-click the drive and choose Disconnect (or eject, whatever it is).

it ctrl+shift+Esc to bring up task manager, then in processes click on "explorer" and end it, then I think it should restart, if not you can restart it in task manager

that was actually serious... when the tray icons go, restarting explorer usually works from memory... been a while since I muddied my aura with that filthy microsoft low-brow muck though
