...basically .. these people were incouraged to move in there by former (going 30 years back) governments..
the people living there today are more fanatics than Idealistic..
there are also sacred places for both Jews and Muslims in the west bank..
west bank areas were counquered from Jordan...
and Gaza strip (along with the later returned 'Sinai') from Egypt..
Golan area from Syria...
all in 1967..
these were different times and our governments were acting accordingly..
so...they encouraged people to move to those territories.. needless to say that mostly right-wing 'idealistic' people went there...
and then the same people that put them there in the first place...sweet talking them to build their homes there..
...are the same ones that threw them out of there
(more than 30 years later..and without an agreement)
these are our patterns..

you must understand that even today most of the Arab world govs have not yet acknowledged the existence of Israel..(not even talking about Iran..Lybia..Algir..etc..)
(yet they deal with us indirectly all the time...)
every land conquered by the Muslims is ..by belief ...their domain...
the Arab world is waiting patiently for us to slip/fall..
..all along teaching their children to hate Jews..
and in the meantime playing the blame game...until the next test/attack..
those are their patterns

these old patterns need to change..they're not working for any side..
in my lifetime.. I was a witness to some good things around here:
for instance...I'm glad that we're out of Gaza..south-Lebanon..the peace with Jordan.. the acknowledgment of PLO..and that the building has stopped in the west-bank..
I've been lucky to go to Egypt many times(my parents didn't grow up that way)..
these are all steps in the right direction imo..very slow and painful steps
I just hope we won't regress ...there's that option as well..

we'll have to wait and see what happens I guess..
