I've had two Nocturns, and the same thing happened to both of them: one of the encoders seems to want to go opposite of where I want it to go. When I brought the first one back to the store, I hooked it up to their computer, and the sales guy gave me a new one on the spot. It seemed to work all right for a while, but now one of the encoders is doing the same thing.
I picked up a Livid Code at the post office earlier today, though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed this puppy will work fine and replace the Nocturn for good!

Ok, I was in denial. My encoders are acting up too. The jitters appear in the automap overlay as well, not just on my parameters. Thing is, one knob with jitters doesn't even move the parameter I assigned it to, so I figured that my remote script was the culprit. No such luck. Still a mystery.
Sporkles, let me know how you're finding that code. Thing is, I was looking for something to keep one foot in conventional djing, so I really liked the x-fader on a light weight controller. That's why I'm thinking about the Faderfox FT3. Just curious how the top row of rotaries work. Some questions for you:
How did you figure the code as being a similar niche to the nocturn? Are you using it as a locked controller, firing clips, etc etc? I'm not all too interested in the tenor-i style box of buttons that took off in the last few years. Nonetheless are there other boutique manufacturers that have bundled the knobs with a x-fader, and which others competed with the code for you?
All the best,

have the same problem with used Nocturn, knobs are shit.
Also have 3 controllers from Akai - apc40, mpd32 and Push and they are awesome.
