How much do you think the code for that would slow it down? Would you as a user even notice? Cmon....be realistic.
btw I have Nuendo 4 and C5..also had PT HD and Logic 8. I prefer Live 8 though

Then go use C5! Live is a live performance tool. They didn't call it Ableton DAW for a reason.

Additionally we know how to hijack Sysex from the remote control surfaces API. Albeit with a 100ms refresh rate.

Same as I. But Apple do not support it anymore so I have to use it through VMWare Fusion.

I honestly think that Live is more than just a performance tool. The name just shows that Ableton try to take a different approach to the DAW conception.
Hence, saying that this feature, or this one, has no need to be included, seems irrelevant as Live grows and evolves.

What do is use sonar le to hold my midi dumps.
but would never go back deadbase or cakesleep live is live
