have used the vestax in over 30 gigs over the last few months. been a total chamption for the most part.

ive had 2 faders die and i know someone else who had this issue as well. but it didnt really affect me and im sure it would have been replaced under warranty.

i dont use it in automap mode, ive hard wired everything to it and like it that way.

it only got replaced (with another VCM600) after pouring vodka on myself and getting a bunch inside the unit and one of the knobs wouldnt turn down afterwards.

the knobs + faders have the best feel of any midi controller ive used.

setup = VCM600 + Lemur + EFX1000 + RME Fireface 400 + Macbook using Live 7.x

That is the only thing stopping me from purchasing. I'm worried about getting new bits for it. What if the faders do die? Can I get replacements anywhere and would I need to send the unit back to Vestax for them to do this? ...trouble is, I've already tried contacting them over email about replacement faders/knobs three weeks ago and had no response back...

...that's the only thing stopping me getting one. It's so expensive, I want to make sure I'm covered. And get the faders/knobs replaced if and when I spill vodka all over the unit ;)

your going the have to take a shit or get off the pot on this one. if you use the session view and want something well built it will do the job. seriously, get to a dealer and try one out.
