seems like this thing is all over the place! And it's pretty much a toss up which issue you will have

I hope they get it fixed, or move back to kontakt player lol.

it would be so nice if they allowed the libraries to load in kontakt since i'm planning on getting that soon. at least until they'd iron out the major kinks with the play front-end.

I doubt they will, that's actually what they "updated" to Play from lol. They used to be based on the kontakt player, that would solve a lot of problems I use that very much and have tons of libraries for it.

I like some of the performance/articulation features of play...but I'm sure they could do that with kontakt scripting!

Are any of you running Play 2 as an AU in Live OS X?

I've been searching the soundsonline forums, yet am not finding any information specific to Live and Play 2.

yeah, running as an AU seems to work fine for me. except with the caveat that previous to the latest version of live, ableton stated that there were specific issues with AUs causing crashes so for the most part i'm in the habit of running play as a vst. i don't know if these specific issues were resolved.

re: the forums. i beta tested v2 under live and afaik i was the only one doing so...the beta forums are only open to the testers. compared to logic, cubase, et. al. there just aren't that many people running play instruments within live.

i submitted 3 tickets for live online support today and got booted all 3 times with the message "live support isn't available". although this all happened during their hours of operation i viewed it as a semi-witty pun.
