maybe you should think of a numerical keyboard. those keys are not used on the laptop keyboard, but they are recognized, so you could use them independently. or just use it like it is... it´s already a matrix!

are those numerical keys mapped the same as the ones over my keyboard? i.e. if i have my laptop keyboard number 1 (the one over Q) mapped to mute track #1, will the number one from this keyboard mute my tracks, too?
