Yes please. Seems like a very basic thing to not be there.

Protools has this now called as time based (Like Live) or object based selection (Like the rest) Something similar could be done with Live

Yup, super frustrating for me being a new user. Not just is this a basic function in Logic, this is a basic function in Windows and Mac OSX. Shift click selects all in between, and ctrl click should select just the ones you select.

So we're talking about selecting multiple non-contiguous clips, correct? You can select all clips in a region by selecting one then selecting the last using the shift key. Though I don't perform with Live, I can see perhaps why they make it regions instead of non-contiguous clips. Mistaking the ctrl for the shift key could make for errors. I don't really agree with it, but it's their baby and they should know their customers.

This seems like a no-brainer addition in a future release. Why none of the developers have had this issue and fixed it by now, (all these years later) is a mystery to me  . HOWEVER 8O , I think a decent workaround is to duplicate your track (or copy all the clips to a new track) and delete/deactivate the ones you don't want. That way you guarantee preserving the location of each clip rather than risk accidentally nudging them when doing 100's of drags individually.

It seems that this is still an issue. Would be so useful to be able to adjust clip gains for multiple interspersed clips. CMD-LeftClick???
