had to call today to get my serial sorted.. apparently they had issues with the server.
anyone still waiting, i wouldn't worry too much. can consistently crash live 8.1.4b3 by opening the z3ta+ gui, and hitting any of my arrow keys, shift keys.. i'm sure there's more but i can't be bothered trying every key combination. will be sending the 8+ bug report packs later today. glad it was only $20 and not $249 tho!

I saw a masterclass with producer from Pendulum. He used Z3ta for basslines.
I've always rated this synth. The presets say it all - loads of crisp classic dance sounds, some weirdness and a really satisfying level of tweakability.
The options for distorting the original waveform are one of the best features, I think.

just tested on live 7.0.18 on the same machine.. no crash!
so seeming more like xp + live 8 = problem for z3ta+
le sigh..

Hi,
Same here (Live 8.1.4 + Xp Sp3 + z3ta+): when z3ta+'s GUI is opened and pressing on the keyboard's CTRL, SHIFT keys just crashes Live

Anyone knows if this issue has been sorted out in Live's latest version (v8.1.5)?
Thanks.

So far as I know, Cakewalk does not allow license transfers, period.

20USD?, making me feel old here. Let's just say, that is not what I paid. Yes, it is a fun synth but not for absolute beginners I can say, unless you would like to use the many banks and patches already on offer. Just read through the documentation. Anyone can have some fun with it after a brief read I think.
There's a "preview ribbon" at the bottom of the GUI. You can play with this with various movements with your mouse while previewing patches, but record the output result for some nice FX sound layers. Yes and another nice feature is that an FX version of Zeta follows the instrument version. Nice to feed other instruments through that full FX unit.

There's tons of great skins for Z3ta+. I did a skin a couple of years ago to make it easier on my eyes. Check them out here:

@nebulae
Yes, thankfully you did so... XS is perfect for my taste. Moderate values of dark and light shades. So a very belated Thanks.
