A scrip editor should coexist with an easy scripting GUI that lets you choose common tasks as "trigger scene x after y has finished" with some buttons and comboboxes.

We seem to be posting in stereo, perhaps it's morphic resonance:?

SCRIPTING? I'm gettting a rash...the 'jump to specific clip/scene' is a great idea, but let's keep Live simple, pleeeeze...well, I guess if it can be hidden for the benefit of those with better things to do...

jump left and right would be an obviously easy addition

I m personaly looking for an "any else" follow action, like "any", but without any chance to trig the same pattern again. could be cool to have 3 bars pattern, then triggin one bar break, then go back to the 3 bars pattern. currently, with "any" action, the risk is to restart 3 patterns bar, and go out of bar with your breaks.

also follow on action on scene could be cool, and an action to not start the clip when the scene where it is started (for further manual start).

Agree, it has been mentioned before (by you maybe?).
The any is to loose.
Also, it would for most cases be natural to have the follow action to deafult to the beat settings for the clip. The 1 0 0 is seldom what you want unless the clip is really 1 0 0.

I would also benefit from having settings like "play nest clip as porablility 1" to be able to set as default when recording. I have set up scene launch automated and can record say 12 bars in successive clips while i'm brushing my teeth. But then I have to set the follow action for all of them before I can hear them in succesion and in the right timing.

A good thing with Live 5 is that follow actions can be set for more then one clip by selecting a whole group.
