That's fair enough, but I would take everything you're not using way over reason and record and some home grown samples any day of the week, and trust me, I enjoy making my own samples and have been a Reason owner in the past.

We're all just wired differently, I guess.

I hear what you are saying. Each to their own and all that :)
Over the lst 6 months i have slowly been doing my own fx in places and recording instruments. The b side of my latest release (Lilly b) has a sample of me playing the guitar and in my next release I have created some effects using my voice (the track is called squelch and tis on sound cloud if you are interested)

I don't use Minimonsta or Oddity, but I use Ohmicide and Symptohm on absolutely everything, even if it's just to grab some clicky noises out of Ohmicide's Clicks algorithm.

I don't use Traktor because I don't like it's file system.

I don't use Logic Studio.

Anything by Camel Audio. Seem like nice people but the effects sound plastic IMO and I'm sure you don't want to hear my thoughts on Alchemy again.

Synplant. Unique interface, different sounds for each note in an octave, it's a cool synth but kind of unnecessary. Occasionally use Microtonic and really like it.

D16's drum machines. They sound great, but I don't get any use out of them. Prefer making my own drum sounds with synths or layering drum samples. Their Devastor multi band distortion is pretty decent.

Massive, blah. I like FM8 though.

PSP Vintage Warmer. Really don't know why.

Amp simulators, probably good for processing instruments other than guitar but I have a few and don't use them.

Waves Gold bundle. Their signature/modeled stuff is fantastic, but the basic plugs are pretty tame. Only thing I use in this bundle is the L1 Limiter/UltraMaximizer. I occasionally used to use the IRL convolution reverb, Renaissance reverb and Trueverb but then I got Aether.

Agree on the Suite stuff, but I'm glad I bought it cos it helped get me started. Same with freeware.

Not really using any plugins at the moment.

I like self-contained environments more and more. Metasynth, Reason, Live (native FX and instruments only), Reaktor standalone.

What I would be more interested to know is WHY you don't use these plugins (especially ones you bought, not talking freeware or warezed versions here) and if you're not using them, are you keeping them for a rainy day, or planning on selling them (license permitting).

There's a lot of good stuff not being used here, which others might snap up if the price was right...

Plug-ins I don't use? All of them! I hate plug-ins. It's pain in the ass to install them back on a new hardware. And it's not only a manner of installation — it's also a manner of compatibility checks. Just using the default ones and am happy.

Maybe…
