It takes a teeny more work, sure, but you can spread takes from 1 track across many others and then do volume automation in arrangement to mute/unmute the parts of each that you want going into the comped take, then just bounce it out to another audio track. Fucking done.

Or, you know, just play it right in one take, ffs.
