apple doesn't support computers from smokers. danger for their supporters, they say..

Re: deadmau5 modular masterclass
I check mine every year and vaccuum it. But, there's never any smoke damage. I keep it 10" off the floor. Maybe I'm an exception. I've just never had any issues with smoking except with microphones.cosmosuave wrote:ChiDJ wrote:jeskola01 wrote:Smoking too... tut tut
Bro, I've been smoking in my studio for 20 + years with no issues. The only gear I don't smoke around are my microphones.
Open up your gear and you would be surprised what the insides look like... Friends Mac was slow and shutting down only to discover the air intake and fan was gummed with cig smoke and dust... Once cleaned ran like a champ...

My old MacPro had black shit all over the fan when I opened it... I don't smoke in the studio any more...

Re: deadmau5 modular masterclass
Lived with someone who wouldn't let me smoke inside, now I can't stand smoking without fresh air. Smoking ban here and in Seattle where i used to live anyway, plus i don't drink so... Smoking inside is disgusting, as someone said, reminds me what a filthy, habit it is. Cigarettes will be the death of me if I don't quit soon, unfortunately I love to smoke.
