I was at Fabric two weeks ago for Sasha's set. I was slightly under-whelmed, but was in the minority as it was *packed* and the crowd were very into it. I did leave at 5.30 and got the feeling that it was one of those sets where it hadn't peaked yet.

Even those who always complain when he gets a mention on these boards must admit that when someone of his popularity is so beind the technology it helps knock down barriers for everyone. It's usually quite easy to avoid the threads as they often have 'Sasha' in the title.

Here's a link for some photos and the controller

i would have thought that someone of sasha's calibre endorsing Live would be a real kick in the teeth to people who actually play instruments and not other peoples records

honestly, if i didn't have Live already i'd say to myself...

'that tit sasha uses Live - must be for trancey dumbos, best stear clear of that as it's obviously shit'

sorry

mosca

PS: does sasha use live?

Sasha's album has some really nice pieces on it.
I've enjoyed his stuff a lot over the years. It is very interesting that he is now getting more deeply into composiition.

Seemingly he used Live to create the album - though it has such a nice analog feel to it he must have created the actual music on some other hardware or software and then arranged it on Live.

Pity, as an Ableton user, he doesn't choose take part in this forum.
Whereas the likes of Global Goon does. Who is superb.

As a composer, currently Global Goon is to Sasha what Chris Evans was to Keith Chegwin :)

great set Mark!!!

this has probably been asked (and answered already):

"is there a place on this forum where sets like Mark's are being posted"

If not - this is an open invitation for everyone to include me on their mailing lists when they blast links to djsets.

I read an interview with Sasha in Remix MAgazine. The Involver album was created using Logic, Live, Virtual Synths, Analog Synths, and an analog mixing console. :) :) :)

Yeah, it does kinda look like a sandwich. I'd be hungry too.

Looks like a pretty technically intense set with all those tracks running... Like a total of two...
