The OP did not specify a budget, he just specified 3 interfaces and he may or may not be aware of others - and the suggestions were only throwing into the hat some alternatives which have good pres (unlike some M-Audio), good drivers (unlike Focusrite, some M-Audio and some Presonus) and low latency performance.
The Echo Audiofire Pre8 is in the same price range as the interfaces mentioned (and has good quality pres and conversion and better low latency drivers than any of the 3 mentioned) and RME was mentioned because while it's more expensive, it has by far the best low latency drivers (on PC especially) than any of the others mentioned, which could be important.

When I was choosing an interface, I had a budget of 1500 quid & only needed 2 XLR ins. But I also had to buy some speakers and a nice mic with that too.
So I spent a couple of hundred pounds on the 610...super-clean pres, great converters, plenty of gain, made of metal, rock-solid drivers ( at least with OS X...all I can vouch for)...not one issue in two years of daily use. And plenty of spare cash for a mint s/h pair of Genelecs & an AT4047.
