control + scroll up/down (two finger swipe) is an alternative for the mac

Holy shit! Thanks so much for posting about this. Can't believe this hasn't been pointed out before. I was just getting used to the drag lock thing but hoping there was a faster way. This changes everything. Again!glitchrock-buddha wrote:That was one thing I still didn't love about the trackpad, but now there's so much less tapping required, it's fantastic. I highly suggest the maccers try it out.
You can still do the same and more with the free BetterTouchTool. Or get a Magic Trackpad.8O wrote:Sounds great, but am I right in thinking that this only works with the unibody macs and newer? I.e. Won't work with my pre-unibody macbook pro...?

hmm, what's this bettertouchtool?
What I'd really like, that would make it completely perfect, would be to reverse the two finger and three finger swipe functions, so that scrolling is three fingers and dragging is two fingers. The reason is that I actually use the drag much more, especially now for DAW functions like parameter adjustments, moving devices, note editing and that kind of thing. Going to check out if bettertouchtool could reverse the two.

BTT looks great, going to try to emulate the behavior and switch the two and three finger gestures.

Too bad, BetterTouchTool doesn't seem to have anyway to reverse two and three finger swipes. At least not that I can see. You can't seem to assign three finger swipe to scrolling and can't seem to assign anything to dragging. Oh well.
The regular three finger dragging is still great. If anyone finds a way to reverse them, lemme know! It's gotta be possible but googling yields nothing else.

i would LOVE to have two finger zoom in and out with the magic mouse or trackpad, has anyone been able to achieve this?

The Magic Trackpad (i assume for magic mouse too) does that by default in Logic.maxgraham wrote:i would LOVE to have two finger zoom in and out with the magic mouse or trackpad, has anyone been able to achieve this?

Cubase too. Ableton should get on it... this is a preference that every user regardless of production style would use all the time.delicioso wrote:The Magic Trackpad (i assume for magic mouse too) does that by default in Logic.maxgraham wrote:i would LOVE to have two finger zoom in and out with the magic mouse or trackpad, has anyone been able to achieve this?

Sounded good, but now I keep dragging/selecting everything in Finder and Safari. Doh!
Think I'll keep my 3-fingered "back button"!
