for 5 days only

they're also selling Reaktor, FM8, Massive, Absynth, traktor pro for 50% off and maybe more ?

It always feels sort of good when you, after careful deliberation, can rationally come to the conclusion that you'll do no better with all the goodies at special prices than with what you've already got. I'm not into the Reaktor/M4L approach, and I already own the NI synths, Traktor Pro and the AK1.

In the UK DV247 have kontakt 4 crossgrade for £129 and then you can get a Komplete 7 upgrade for £249 which makes £378. They are advertising Komplete 7 for £429.

I am being seduced by NI stuff. I bought FM8 off someone on KVR and thought it was really great so then I tried the free Kontakt player which I liked so I bought thet. Now I am tempted by Reaktor...

and that is at least 19% VAT (on total INCLUDING shipping) plus with electronics very likely something extra...

put on top of that the risk that I would actually have to go to customs and pick it up/deal with them...

It depends on where you're looking. Most places I looked at had Maschine for $629.00 recently, but I admit, I didn't look in depth at a lot of different places and prices can change.

I think the difference is that it is a hardware and software controller combination. Tracktor Pro and Traktor Scratch Pro were 50% off, but the S4 controller was only about 10% discounted.

NI also did Reaktor for $99 like FM8, Massive, Absynth last year, however, they seem to have stepped up interest after a dormant period, releasing an update and several new ensembles, so it's not just a way to move on old, boring stock, Reaktor, after a fairly quite period, is back in the game, so it's still 50% off but $199.
