Nice, I have a friend here in Seattle that I went to SF with to see TG play in 09. He saw them in about 78 in a warehouse in London.

Definitely a big influence on me, the whole approach was so great to see, something in between the nerdy intellectual stance of the Eno crowd and the attack approach of the punks. Like dangerous nerds.

Mate of mine went to his funeral in Thailand. Seen the pictures of the casket which was totally beautiful - gold inlayed with loads of ornate finery - he had a buddhist ceremony with monks and everything.

OK Any word on what he died of? Friend of mine sez heartbreak over John, I'm thinking Sleep Apnea.
Too freaking young to die.

@Machine - TG's approach was very much like you put it. I have a book titled Painful But Fabulous: The Life & Art of Genesis P' Orridge & I gives a more deeper look into TG & how they approach it in a theatrical sense. TG was raw. Ugly. Chaos.

I agree with you - Its possible he did from sleep apnea...Sure some details would come out eventually.

@cmcpress - WoW...I bet his funeral was something else..Buddhist ceremony? Makes sense...The whole situation is still hard to believe Such a shocker...The TG gang must be devastated.
