If you ever used protools you would want the larger mixer view. If it worked better in a live situation that's all I would use. Ableton is easier to control latency with multiple mics and instruments. I use protools for recording. The clips and sessions are wasted space for me.

It's not perfect, & limited to 20 tracks, but better than nothing.....if you have M4L :roll:

I wonder how hard it would be for someone to write a VST that did nothing but controlled Live's internal faders. Then you would be able to have a pop out 'mixer window', right?
