argh! heheh
now you've given me a taste and i know it can be done.
but i just spent the last hour dicking around with it and my efforts have come with no results (other than a better understanding of Plogue Bidule)
i really wish i could get this to work - if anyone on PC is having success, please let me know!!!

I guess it's gonna be troubleshooting now. make a simple plogue connection.
uc33 to cc inverter to bidule 1 (out)
select bidule 1 in Live and check if everything works in reverse.
if it does, we can take it from there.

okay. before we troubleshoot. lets define a term.
you keep using the term "Bidule 1"
what do you mean by this?
i see no devices i can add called "Bidule 1", and no devices in your .bidule called "Bidule 1"
do you mean the UC-33 OUT? because i do not see "Bidule 1" anywhere.
If "Bidule 1" is the same as UC-33 OUT, i have made the Uc33 to CC inverter to Uc33 out Plogue Connection and i'm still getting no response in Live at all.
you've seen my adam reverse.bidule is there a Bidule 1 in there somewhere and its just called somethind different on my PC?
thanks for the assistance btw

the template you sent me works perfectly.
The connection at the bottom. the point where everything leads to. should be bidule 1
to create bidule 1, right click and choose midi output "Bidule 1 (out)" from the midi devices menu. You'll see that the input menu is where you find the uc33 as input.

okay well Bidule 1 Out is actually the UC-33 Out then.
known as "USB Audio Device" Out (even though its not Audio, generic XP name)

ah. on Osx it creates 4 virtual midi outs. You could still do it with plogue. but you're going to have to run another app that patches a virtual midi channel.

well thats a big fat BOO... i'll see if i can find another way to do this.
i've gotten so used to assigning tempo to a rotary knob rather than a slider that its not the life or death situation it once was. hehehe.
i see you'r'e watching r.dogs!
Tell Mr. Orange i said hi. i love the commode story!
thanks for your help, sorry the results were unfruitful.

ah well. Getting pulled over on acid far exceeds taking a piss infront of a german shepard with a bag of weed imo.
I live like 10 minutes from the holland border.
A story like that just wouldnt cut it here.
If it's any consillation. i heard Apple is selling cheap macs now

i know u may not trust some stranger on the net, but I am in taiwan at the moment (land of knobs and transistors) and I have VIP membership at a big megacentre that has stuff like that... if you cover the costs of the knobs (usually $0.50ea) and organise the shipping yourself, i'll be more than happy to get you a batch of the coolest knobs and buttons I can find...
I just bought a bunch for the controller im building, so i'll take a pic of the ones I have at the moment and see what you think if you like...

Okay, update - i got the UC33's Master Volume slider reversed.
i downloaded Midi Yoke for XP which gave me 8 virtual midi ins and outs much like your mac was showing. Plogue Bidule still would not work.
so i downloaded Bome's Midi Translator and manually inverted every controller message (all 128 of them, bleh. and it was hex code too! double bleh.) Bome acts just the same way as Plogue did, in theory. just not in the modular format. But i don't have to do a rewire channel, and i can load up Bome before or after loading Live so its a little more versatile.
I'll post a new topic explaining it for any PC UC-33 users that want this function, and also link to the .ini file that took me 30 minutes to create. but basically now i can control the tempo of Live with a reversed slider that mimmicks a Technics 1200 turntable. The response on it is much like the 1200 if i set a minimum/maximum BPM setting in Arrange view of within 6 BPMs (i.e. 137 to 143 bpm), as the UC-33 sliders are half the length of a 1200's, so i was going for +/- 4% rather than 8%.

Too bad it doesnt work for you.
I realized that rewiring it isnt nescesary. Try starting it up without and see if you have the virtual i/o (seems to be a factor with audio too)
If you like the concept of plogue it's better to keep an eye on it. It's going commercial in februari and it's offered really cheap now.
It's kinda like the Live story. plogue bidule is also one of those apps where you can see it developing in something nice.
16 step sequencing where 16 knobs or keys input the different notes.
Midi arpegiattors. they look complicated. but once you figure out how to program them, they kick ass.
Surtainly a better remedy then ReMidi on the mac.
cheers

HEY look at that it works. maybe rewire was the issue. or maybe some stupid setting i changed with the virtual outs. well that makes it handy.
Beware PC users - midi yoke is needed to use Plogue for this reversal CC function. =) I think i'll stick with bome for this function though as it uses 1/3 the ram Plogue does for something small like this.
yea it looks like a nice app for sure. and for $75 you can't beat it.
it reminds me of Reaktor with an Audiomulch gui and more versatility without totally stifling you the way reaktor can occasionally.
i'll definitely not delete this beta from my HD.
