DELAY - in all its glory and multiple uses:
Delay as reverb fx (short)
Ducking Delays (still hear the original with goey thick delay madness)
Delay as a comb-filter-like fx
Pitching delays
Dub delay routing and looping
Call & Answer with delay
et al

In a rare moment of seriousness, how about some techniques on making lo-fi beats or other interesting beat manipulation beyond just "clean". You could probably take the collective catalogs of Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, and Crystal Method and have a never ending "how the fuck did they do that beat?" Q&A session.
Granted, this isn't exactly your area of expertise, but challenge yo self, nigga.

in another rare moment I agree with beats this would be very interesting if it weren't for the fact that all of those groups he named just use distortion, damn I'm sick of that shit, how bout the same thing beats said minus the distortion?

if you go on with the "house series" (i saw them all and i like the arrangement part most):
- get "untimed and untuned" vocals into the track
- include acoustic recordings (i.e. preparation for a guitar or vocalist session)
- select, cut and rearrange the recording session results
- mixing
- mastering

Hi Tim,
I bought your house music tutorial and really enjoyed it - it's been a great help.
One of the things that I would like to see would be some kind of overview of traditional music theory, but in the context of electronic music production.
I'm currently doing some reading on music theory, but the material is obviously aimed at a much broader audience.
It wouldn't have to be Ableton only; I can imagine this slotting quite nicely into your generic list of courses.

...or how to lean up a project / create a single 'set' from multiple existing projects, ready for a trouble free live performance?

Without knowing much about that synth, from a quick look at the controls I'd say you just need something more general on synthesis *ahem* - seriously though, most of those sections are pretty standard on a synth, if you know what everything is doing and why then it's just a case of finding where everything is.

Well I do know the basics, done a couple of nick's and one of yours on Operator. I agree its finding where everything is thats the main problem, its bloody complicated even without messing around with any wires. So, what I'm after is something very specific to ACE.
I have made the basic diagram my desktop, shame I cant print it, and am trying to tackle the manual. It just seems so hard compared to something like Analog. Its a great synth though, the sound is superb. Can be a bit hungry on the old CPU though. Actually that reminds me I never finished your Operator one off! Something to do over the holidays.
Isn't ACE just a "normal" virtual analogue synth if you don't use cables ? the default signal flow is on page 6 of the guide.

setting lookhead to 0 and maybe selecting post mixer for the sidechain to do it old school style is a good way to go for dance music
ableton's sidechain still has never quite worked right for me, i use cubase or reason with a perfect result
