Well I went back today and exchanged those noisy Sony 7506's for the Senn HD 380 pro. Although my head feels like it's in a vice(I hope they'll stretch out before my brain gets squished), the sonic character is not quite as raucous. They seem to have a much more natural, flatter, response. Are these pretty reliable for monitoring?
