Tap tempo still sux

Clearly I'm sure this is not a bug but rather a user problem. I got rid of warp and the first day I thought I had it licked. It seemed to work. This was last week. I haven't figured it out yet. I thought I'd find it in thhe manual. But I have yet to.

So I thought I could use tap tempo without warp, which was confusing to me, because I thought warp set regions for time stretching. Anyway it seemed to work at first. Now nothing I do changes tempo. The read out changes but the tempo stays the same.
