I hear ya. I'm just having a general Live hate parade this week. Fact is just about every other DAW out there can handle way more plug-ins before they start choking. Sounds like you've gotten so used to Live that you think it's normal to have to worry about conserving CPU from note one and you don't see this as an inconvenience. The grass can be greener, my friend.

Yeah you're pretty much right on. I have accepted the fact that I can't use as many plug-ins in Live as in say, Logic. The thing is, I own Logic 9 and have had Logic since way before Live, yet I continue to use Live because I just like it more. So if I gotta keep my cpu meter around the 60% mark, so be it. The grass may be greener, but once you get there, it might also be overgrown and weedy.

Thunderbolt is totally sick. It can act as six FireWire ports.
