I think someone at Ableton needs to take a look at the circumstances when it engages live mode on a mode and/or exactly how it deals with non-group and group submix tracks - stick a trace on it or something. Are groups internally perhaps a hack of an audio track with monitor on enabled?

After having switched this option on for a few days now - Ive not had a single occurance of the usual subtle timing fuckups. Sorry - no hard evidence or repros etc, but gut feel is telling me something is wrong here.
