i dunno, the power is conditioned by it and it has a battery backup so i have time to save my files during an outage (or earthquake
). i spent about 70 bucks each on the ones i got. i bought the first one, it fixed the noise that was showing up in my recordings... so i went back to get another to plug everything else into. i run 2 computers, one for internet and the other is my DAW so doing it this way made sense for me.
